Many eminent personalities, including Khushbu, Shruthi Haasan and Soundarya Rajinikanth were honoured by a famous Chennai-based magazine for their contribution to the world of art. While speaking at the occasion, Khushbu said that on one hand, she is happy and honoured because of the award; on the other hand, she feels indignant and pained with what is happening in the society. She quoted the horrific news of the day; 8-year-old girls were married to frogs to ward off evil spirits in Vilupuram! She said she was shocked at the appalling condition of Indian women and female children. She lamented that she has not done anything to bring about a change in the society. She also added that she is looking forward to do her part in bringing a healthy change in the society, especially in the lives of Indian women.
