It’s not about any face-glow up ads or anything commercial, but so personal about the cherubic actress. Yes, the most happening actress of South Indian film Industry got married to Dr. Ajilesh and got settled down at Ireland. Well, she had made her comeback as well with a Malayalam film starring opposite Dileep.

But now, she gives a clear explanation why there’s no importance of acting for next couple of years. The actress is so excited as she’ll come mom a child to be born in next 4months and she is taking care of her health. Says Gopika: ‘I want to get involved in parenting for next few years and I will stay away from acting career…’

Gopika tied the knot with Dr Ajilesh and had left the celluloid world and got settled in Ireland. However she has made a comeback through P Sukumar directed Malayalam movie Swantham Lekhakan opposite Dileep. And the latest news is that actress Gopika is all set to become a mother.

The actress herself revealed her desire to start a family at an interview. It may be considered a strange coincidence that she plays the role of a pregnant lady in the movie Swantham Lekhakan.. Earlier in July this year she was spotted with a baby bump, but when contacted the actress laughed and said that the role demanded so and that it was just her get up for the same.

Gopika who was here for the shooting of Swantham Lekhakan flew back to Ireland to celebrate her first wedding anniversary with her husband. It is also said that the actress had called her father and conveyed the happy news that he would soon be a grandfather. However we are stilling waiting for the confirmation from the actress herself.

This is the grapevine from Kollywood sources that heroine Gopika who got married to Ajilesh, a doctor settled in Ireland is not happy. The reason is that Gopika is over attached to the field of acting and Ajilesh is not willing to make her act again. But Gopika is coming back as per the sources to act in a Malayalam film Swantham Lekhakan.

She is also negotiating terms with Kollywood PROs and others to push her and act aggressively than before. Gopika is better identified by Telugu audiences with the film ‘Naa Autograph’.

Let us see how the second innings of Gopika would shape her career.

Remember Gopika , the svelte beauty who graced the screens in ’Autograph’, and ’Four Students’?The actress, who has settled in Ireland following her wedding, has resumed studying, and has enrolled for a course on Sociology. Incidentally, the Mollywood beauty was studying Sociology in the Calicut University in Kozhikode when she received an offer to act.

The actress receded from the limelight immediately following her wedding to Dr Ajilesh in July 2008. She has resumed her studies in Ireland now. But this hasn’t drawn a full stop to the actress’ tinsel dreams. ‘Give me a good offer and I’ll land in India right away’ the actress is said to be her friends in the film industry.

There was a time when S V Krishna Reddy was one of the most sought after directors for family entertainers but these days he has been keeping himself busy with TV ads for the Congress party. Here is one incident that came to light lately which has caused some interest for a few.

It is heard that during the shooting of the film ‘Lethamanasulu’ SVK had asked the heroine of the film Gopika to do a scene on a bed with the hero Srikanth. Though there was nothing sleazy about it, Gopika is said to have turned it down and the entire location had to be changed to suit her convenience.

The film came way back in the year 2003-04 and folks were surprised to see that Gopika is said to have mentioned about this incident in a paper interview recently. While the idea for her was to project her sanctity according to sources, the timing seems a bit too delayed they added. In fact Gopika proves to be the only heroine who denied to a proposal of family director SV Krishna Reddy who is far away from obscenity or vulgarity.

Gopika's sister Glini has been cast to do the role of Mukesh's daughter in debutant director S.Binu Kumar's project. The director and producer were in search of a young heroine.

The story is about Narendran, who is a widower living with his daughter. At this time Mridhula, who has divorced her husband comes to stay in their neighbourhood. Narendran and Mridhula fell in love. The problem starts after this and the story develops from there. The director is on the
lookout for a name for Glini. Gopika's original name was Girly and for films she accepted the new name Gopika.

The name of the film has not yet been finalised. Lyrics for the film are by Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma and music is scored by Jaison J.Nair. Dialogue is by Santhosh Rajasekhar and Jayasree Kumar. Under the banner of Bhagyadhara films R.P.Suresh Kumar is producing the film. The location will be Thodupuzha.

Thankar to remake another Malayalam movie!

Thankar Bachchan is going to remake the super hit Malayalam movie Veruthe Oru Bharya, which featured Jayaram and Gopika in the lead. Thankar Bachchan is a great fan of Malayalam films of the late 70's and 80's when some of the most powerful stories came out.

He had earlier remade Sreenivasan's Chinthavishatya Shyamala as Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy. Last week Thankar was in Kochi to negotiate with Salauddin and Akku Akbar, the producer and director of Veruthe Oru Bharya. Thankar wants to remake it in Tamil with Kishore and Priyanka.

Here is the most exciting news for all the fans of pretty Gopika fans! Rumoured to have said goodbye to tinsel town after her marriage with Dr. Ajilesh on July 17, Gopika is returning to films very shortly!

She was recently in Thiruvananthapuram to receive the Best Actress award in Asianet Film Awards 2009 for her performance in Veruthe Oru Bharya and made it clear that she is ready to take up new projects, if she can complete her portions in 15-20 days. While speaking to media at her home in Ollur, Kerala, she said that she does not plan to retire from cinema. Now settled in Ireland with her husband, Gopika is still keeping in touch with the developments in the film industry.

During her career of six years, Gopika was immensely successful with a string of hits in all four South Indian languages. Her famous hit films include Autograph (2004), For The People (2004), Thotti Jaya (2005), Kana Kanden (2006), Mayavi (2006), Velli Thirai (2008), Annan Thampi (2008), Kanasina Loka (Kannada).

Her last, super hit Veruthe Oru Bharya, a comeback film by Jayaram, recently celebrated its 125h day at the box office and is still running successfully in the state. In Veruthe Oru Bharya, the young actress played the role of Bindhu with a child aged 14. Her last release was with Mammootty in AMMA's multistarrer Twenty:20.
