Roja to quit politics and back to movies!

Roja to quit politics and back to movies!

June 9, 2010

Heroine Roja who had established her own brand image in the industry by acting with all the top actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth and many others, had quit the films and went to politics. And now, the latest news is that she is fed up with politics and ready to quit them and back to movies soon. Already she has acted in a recent Telugu film ‘Golimaar’ and also acting as Vijay’s mother in a Tamil film titled ‘Kaavalkaran’.

The actress says “I faced a lot of problems in politics, and as I was always wandering between the Collectors Office and Police Station for the welfare of people I couldn’t look after my health properly. Though I do this much things to people, people prefer only those who do not do anything for them. Politics is male dominated and it is difficult for women to withstand. I have started to hate politics”.

She further adds “People interested in public welfare enter politics, but nothing can be done without political power. So I have decided to return back to cinema. I will continue to act in films in any roles that come my way. I am very happy to act as Vijay’s mother. Many new face actress are entering the cinema field, it’s a encouraging sign. The taste of people has changed over years”. [WaY]

Sangavi would expose; but a big ‘no’ to bikini

Sangavi would expose; but a big ‘no’ to bikini

September 19, 2009

Even as actress Sangavi’s parents are seriously hunting for a suitable groom for their daughter, Sangavi’s kitty appears to be overflowing with filmy offers. This has resulted in the postponement of the groom-hunt, as Sangavi has reportedly told her parents to hold on for some more time (months or years?). Sangavi, who recently attended the muhurat of ‘Mangai’ Harirajan’s ‘Manmatha Rajjiyam’, has now been roped in as one of the film’s four heroines by the film’s producer-director Harirajan.

Sangavi is said to be playing the role which was rejected by ‘Silandhi’ Monika as the latter felt that the role was too much for her, requiring her to don a swim-suit (bikini). Now, the question is whether or not Sangavi would be donning the bikini. Actually, we’re sorry to disappoint you, folks. Sangavi WON’T BE doing the bikini act.

Sangavi has reportedly told Harirajan that while she was open to looking and acting glamourously, ‘bikini’ would never form part of her attire for the film. Harirajan, who made ‘Pollachi Maaplae’ starring Sathyaraj which never saw the light of the day, somehow managed to sell off most of the distribution areas of ‘Manmadha…’ within a day of the launch of the film.

Sangavi being part of the cast has done the trick for Harirajan, isn’t it?
