Tamil Comedy Actress Shobana commits suicide

Tamil comedy actress Shobana committed suicide at her residence in Kotturpuram, Chennai on Monday. The unmarried actress Shobana acted in lot of Tamil movies and Television serials in comedy roles. Particularly she is the main actress for Sun TV very famous “Meendum Meendum Sirippu” – Sunday morning comedy Tele serial.

Shobana acted as Vadivelu wife in Surya and Jothika paired Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal. Shobana was survived with her mother Rani in Chennai Kotturpuram Housing Board Colony. Shobana belongs to normal middle class family and her mother Rani is ex-extra actress in Tamil Cinema.

Shobana was alone at her apartment in H’ Block in Kotturpuram Housing Board Colony on Monday when she committed suicide.

The police said 31-year-old Shobhana committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling.

The explanation for the suicide isn’t known and investigations are on. The police said Shobana was suffering from Chikungunya. Due to the ailment, she lost a few chances to act in Tamil movies. This may be the reason for her suicide, they said.

No one knows who did this mischievous deed. The whole of kollywood had been gossiping about how Namitha had committed suicide in Hyderabad.

When Namitha’s manager was asked about this information, he was totally ignorant of the gossip and expressed his shock in a genuine manner.Later, he contacted Namitha and told her about the rumor that spread like a wild fire.

Namitha, who immediately burst out in laughter wasn’t able to control it for a few minutes, she then rebuked the news.

Namitha said, "I am very much alive and healthy! Please don’t believe the rumors that say I am dead." (CHIT)

Viveka Babajee, a former Indian supermodel, committed suicide by hanging herself at her suburban Bandra residence late on Friday night, a family friend said.

Confirming the suicide, Additional Commissioner of Police (Western Region) Amitabh Gupta said the reason behind Viveka taking the extreme step was not known and police were investigating. According to police, it may be due to a failed personal relationship.

According to investigation, it has been found that the knob of the kitchen gas was opened.

Fashion designer Rohit Verma said she was supposed to take part in his fashion show next month and he was shocked to hear the news of her death.

Viveka, 32, was declared a supermodel in 1994 and was one of the most-sought after faces nationally and internationally in the fashion world. She also acted in Bollywood film ‘Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hai’ in 2002.

Her ad campaigns include Coca Cola, Live In Jeans and Kamasutra condoms.

Viveka was born and brought up in Mauritius. In 1993, She parcipated in Miss World contest and became Miss Mauritius. (CHIT)
