Vidya Balan needs bigger butt for Dirty Picture

Vidya Balan needs bigger butt for Dirty Picture

May 26, 2011

We haven't seen size-zero Vidya Balan so far. In fact, she has been criticised for her plumpy looks in films. But surprisingly, she is required to put on more weight for her role in Dirty Picture, where she plays Silk Smitha, who was known for her thunder thighs and big butt.

The role in Dirty Picture requires Vidya to lose weight and then put on weight at a short period of time, which is a little too much for her. So, producer Ekta Kapoor has melt down to the idea of using cosmetic help to increase the size of her butts and hips.

The makers of the film have reportedly asked the make up artistes to take care of Vidya's bust line with the help of prosthetics. The shooting of the film is scheduled to start on May 30. (OI)

“Saree (Sari) is the sexiest dress” – Vidya Balan

“Saree (Sari) is the sexiest dress” – Vidya Balan

January 14, 2011

I was expecting Vidya Balan to come in a sexy Western outfit for the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 news conference held a couple of days ago (Jan 10), but to my surprise, she came in a red and green sari. She looked stunning in it though. And she has a reason – she thinks sari is the sexiest dress.

Vidya said that she loves wearing Saree. “Saree is really the sexiest dress, and it looks good on everyone, no matter the size and shape. It epitomizes Indianess in me,” she said.

But when asked if she would wear sari to this year’s Idea Filmfare Awards to be held on January 29, she replied that she has not thought of what to wear to the function.

Well, any piece of dress would look good on Vidya. What do you say guys? (OI)

Madhavan not in Mani Ratnam's next project

Madhavan not in Mani Ratnam's next project

August 19, 2010

There was a report recently that filmmaker Mani Ratnam is planning to cast actor R. Madhavan and Vidya Balan in his next movie. But Madhavan has denied this report of starring in Mani Ratnam’s next project.

The actor posted a tweet on his page in Twitter saying that unfortunately he has not signed any such project with Mani Ratnam and Vidya Balan. However, he would have loved to do a film with them if given an opportunity. Mani Ratnam’s story was supposed to be a love story.

The sparking chemistry between Madhavan and Vidya was loved by the audience when they were paired in film Guru starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan. Though the duo was not cast in the lead role in that film, the little bit of scenes that they had together were eye catching and they looked very nice together on-screen.

There was also a recent report of filmmaker Sanjay Gupta trying to sign the pair for his next project, which did not take off. Earlier in an interview, Madhavan expressed his interest to work with Vidya again provided some really big project comes on their way.

Later, they were again seen together in a commercial of Airtel and both rocked together. The pair became instant hit after the Airtel ad and many wanted to cash in on this popularity. Hopefully, Mani Ratnam comes out with a lovely project for this much talked on-screen pair and create a magic on screen again. (OI)
