‘We must vote’- Kollywood celebrities on the urge

‘We must vote’- Kollywood celebrities on the urge

May 16, 2009

They have taken permission from their tasks and many stars have fled all the way from their busy schedules and shored on Chennai for casting their votes. Here’s an exclusive n what all celebrities of Tamil film industry have got to say regarding the voting issue.

Actor Vijay – “It’s been clichéd as merely between 45%-60% of the total population votes and yet they keep blabbering about the leaders. Whatever work they’ve got and how much ever loss it may incur, things had to be put aside and come to vote. I have taken a day leave from ‘Vettaikaaran’ and fled from Hyderabad to cast my vote in Adyar School.”

Actor Surya – “Few may think, what’s gonna happen if I don’t vote. Just imagine the situation when hundreds and thousands of people perceive similar thought. We’ve got to understand the outcomes of it.”

Director A.R. Murugadoss – “Only 40% of the votes are always registered. I don’t vote for the political parties, but for the right candidate. If everyone votes for the right person, then obviously, the good ones will win the elections. I was involved in story discussion and had came all the way from Mumbai.”

Actor Srikanth – “Of course, I had whole lot of personal works and even then couldn’t refuse my right. It may seem to be quite difficult standing in queues, but something has to be done as we have stood in the same long queues for our personal matters.”

Actress Sneha – “We have the rights to choose our leaders. And not in many countries, citizens have this freedom…”

Actor Vadivelu – “Everyone wants to have a good leader and so we have to vote. Right candidates who’ll make the peoples’ lives shine must win.”

Actor Vivek – “Many Countries don’t follow the principle of Democracy. Just 60% of the vote registration wouldn’t bring the good government on throne. One doesn’t vote is not doing anything other than cheating himself.”

Actor Sasikumar – “Not casting vote isn’t something wrong, but a crime.”

The meltdown has forced many Tamil film producers to bring down production costs. Vivek’s new-dimensioned role

January 19th, 2009

Comedy Actor is leaping with laurels for his good performance in ‘Padikadhavan’. Similarly, he would be donning different get-ups with hilarious looks in his forthcoming flicks. His upcoming release ‘Guru En Aalu’ has him depicted in the role of Aasana Azhagappan, a yoga teacher. In ‘Aiyndham Padai’, he dons a prominent character apart from his comedy tracks. On the pars, in Sundar C starrer ‘Vaada’, he would be appearing in the get-up of yesteryear comedian Surali Rajan. Not just the looks, he will be vocalizing with his same style. Continually involved in the modulation of such voices, Vivek’s eardrums were bit affected and immediately he approached doctor for treatment. Vivek-Dhanush rock in Padikkadhavan

Vivek-Dhanush rock in Padikkadhavan

Keeping in line with his style of mixing action with high doses of comedy, Suraj has made Padikkadhavan (also referred to as Padikkathavan) a laugh riot in which Vivek and Dhanush team up for the first time.

Like his previous ventures Thalainagaram and Marudhamalai, Padikkadhavan will have loads of laughter in the first half and plenty of action in the second half. This ace director is very keen on giving maximum entertainment to his audience.

Apart from comedy scenes involving Dhanush and Vivek plus good action sequences, Tamannaah will be a big crowd puller. Two songs shot in Switzerland featuring Dhanush and Tamannaah will definitely prove to be the film’s highlights according to its director.

Padikkadhavan also stars veteran actors Prathap Pothan, Sayaji Shinde and Suman.
