Bhavana while speaking said,” If I don’t have offers, there is immediate rumors that I am getting married. But I am bearing all these rumors. In Tamil after Asal I did not act in any films. There is no complaint about Kollywood regarding this. At the same time I will also have my days in Tamil cinema. I am getting lots of offers in Kannada cinema. Since I did not know Kannada, I turned down the offers. Finally I agreed to act in the Kannada film Jockey which had Puneeth Rajkumar in the lead role.

I agreed because this film had a big actor and good story. Since I did not know anything about the Kannada audience, I had a doubt whether this film will be a success. But this film was a super hit. In the year 2010 I had acted in three Malayalam films.I gave my dates for Sudeep’s Kannada film but this film was postponed because Sudeep’s own film was not completed. Since I gave my call sheet to Priyadarshan, I was unable to act in Sudeep’s film. I liked the college campus story narrated by Priyadarshan. The shooting of the whole film is to take place in Dubai.”(KT).

Producer Dwarakish will be producing this movie and the producer as named the title, in respect to late Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan. According to sources, Priyamani has a simple character in the movie, but actress Bhavana needs to some hard work intense homework, in order to live up to her character. V. She appointed a stylist and tried to re-invent her image to keep up with the changing trends. The pretty young girl also send her glamorous stills to production houses, through her manager.

The actress thought that her role in Aasal will turn out to be a big hit. She had told friends that her mass songs in the film will make her hot and happening. However unfortunately, the film failed to live up to its hype and Bhavana ended up with egg on her face.

Malayalam beauty Bhavana who ventured in Tamil and Telugu films proved her acting skills in both the languages. Now, she is all set to make her debut in Kannada film industry opposite to Puneeth rajkumar.

Bhavana will be pairing with Puneeth Rajkumar in the film “Jackie” which will be directed by suri of “ Duniya and Junglee” fame. According to sources, director Suri was inclined in featuring Bhavana in his Kannada film and approached her with “Jackie”. The big eyed beauty was impressed by the storyline and also her character and so has given a green signal to act in this project.

V. Harikrishna is said to be composing music for this film and the movie will go onto floors in mid 2010. There is news that actress Bhavana is going to marry and will be available after marriage for her projects. For this reason, a delay is expected in the making of “Jackie”. (HC)

Bhavana who tried her luck in the Telugu and Tamil film industry has recently got a call from the ASAL team. ASAL team which is said to begin its shooting in an undisclosed location in Malaysia is in a search for a second heroine.

Already, Sameera reddy has been roped into the movie and the S-E-X goddess is delighted to be a part of the prestigious project of Ajith. Now, Bhavana may likely take up the second heroine role if her demand of extending her character is obliged by the ASAL team. Earlier the team contacted Shriya Saran who denied the role as she felt that this second heroine character could threaten her future.

Meanwhile, Bhavana is said to be in competition as she has bagged film fare award for second heroine category and also the Kerala State film award. With this back ground she is said to take up the second heroine role as the makers are offering Rs 30 lacs for the second heroine post in this film.

Bhavana became popular after acting in Chitram Pesuthadi but after this film, her other films did not do well. Because of this she switched over to Telugu films. There were rumors that she will not in act in Tamil films. When asked about this Bhavana said,” I did not walk out of Tamil cinema. I was getting lot of roles in Tamil films but they were all ordinary roles. So I did not accept them. I will definitely act in a Tamil film which has a good story with high budget. I don’t like to act in ordinary roles. I have acted in more than 20 films in Malayalam. I have acted in different characters in each film. Because of this I earned laurels. I am interested to act in such characters. Therefore I am very careful in selecting roles.”

Bhavana, one of the most gorgeous actresses of Mollywood, has all reasons to be very happy these days! After her prime roles in the Malayalam multi-starrer Twenty:20 and Prithviraj starrer Lollypop, Bhavana is now cast in two consecutive Malayalam Mohanlal starrers (Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded and Casanova) and has been confirmed as the heroine in Telugu actor Srikanth's prestigious 100th film titled Mahatma with ace director Krishnavamsi.

However, Bhavana honestly admits that she regrets having said 'No' to roles in some films that went on to become super hits. "Chocolate (Malayalam) and M. Kumaran, Son of Mahalakshmi (Tamil) are two such movies. I also regret having done films such as Hridayathil Sookshikkan (Malayalam) and Rameswaram (Tamil). About some roles, I never regret. For instance, I was invited to act in the Tamil remake of Chinthamani Kola Case. But I didn’t accept the offer as I was sure that the character would not get wide acceptance in Tamil," she was quoted as saying.

About her notorious skin show in a song of the recent Twenty:20, the actress said: "Some people criticized my dressing in the song 'O Priya' in Twenty:20. But the song situation demanded such costumes. It was shot in a foreign locale. How could I wear the dress of a girl next door there? Many of my well-wishers, including women, appreciated the costumes in the film. I am happy about the way I am portrayed in the film."

Asked about her favourite role in recent films, she names her role in Prithviraj starrer Lollypop. "Though Lollypop failed at the box office, my character in the film is dear to me. Actors like me are unable to select roles in tune with the interest of the audience. I can do justice only to characters that come to me. I am not ready to stick to only Malayalam. If I get the opportunity to portray a good character, no matter what the language, I will do it. In Kollywood, Malayalee actors are treated like god and I am comfortable there. Nobody forced me into glamorous roles. I opted for a makeover when the character demanded it."

Malayalam filmgoers never dreamt that pretty Bhavana would make it big in Malayalam like this! After her prime roles in Twenty:20 and Prithviraj starrer Lollipop, Bhavana is cast in two consecutive Mohanlal starrers: Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded and Casanova. Bhavana is presently in Dubai shooting for Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded (a sequel to Mohanlal’s 1987 blockbuster Irupatham Noottandu directed by K. Madhu).

In Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded directed by Amal Neerad of Big B fame and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad films, Bhavana appears as Namitha Menon, a CNN reporter who is after Sagar (Mohanlal), a Dubai-based underworld don, to dig and reveal a sensational scoop on his dealings. This film will grace theatres soon.

Bhavana’s Casanova will be directed by Roshan Andrews. Earlier, this film was scheduled to begin in July 2008, but was postponed due to a date clash in Mohanlal’s call sheets. The shooting is likely to begin after Mohanlal completes Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded. It is learnt that Bhavana has a very different role in Casanova. It is widely rumored that Bhavana has cancelled two Tamil projects to allot dates for these Mohalal starrers.

Meanwhile, Bhavana, who hasn’t tasted success in Kollywood so far, is said to be doing another Tamil film with Prithviraj after Jeyam Kondaan. This untitled film will be directed by Priya V. This is Prithviraj’s second movie with Priya V. after Kannaamochi Enada.

Quite shocking to hear that South Indian Film industry’s actors are being held as captives and yet there is no proper information about their whereabouts.

Prithviraj, Bhavana, Director Shafi, Cinematographer Azhagappan and other unit members fleeted to Thailand of Bangkok for filming Malayalam film ‘Lollipop’. However as a coincidence, over there citizens were enraged with protest against Thailand’s President Somchai Vangasavath for involved in corruption.

As the filming over, the entire crewmembers returned to airport, they seem to have been held as captives and there isn’t any news received from them. This has lead to ultimate tension amongst the South Indian Film Industries.

Let’s hope and pray that the perplexing situations may soon turn to be solved out soon-
