They are three different fields and not connected with each other but one can imagine what happens when celebrities and individuals from these fields come together. It was a variety mix and match event at the Cinemax last night and was a treat for those who were not part of it. Politics, police and film celebrities have together at Cinemax last night.

A special show of the film ‘Yamudu’ was held at the multiplex and it saw the cream of celebrities. While on one end, there was the TDP man Revanth Reddy, the other side had the charming beauty Charmee. Charmee came in shaded jeans and a top with the sexiest looks. Then there was the tough cop Commissioner Khan himself. Khan has seen Charmee with all admiration!!!

Also seen were Nitin and his group of friends. Among others, there was the regular swarm of beautiful ladies along with handsome men. Overall, the film event saw a very different mix of crowd and lately, cinemax is getting popular as a joint for celebrities. (GA)

So, has she given up on all those things she loves to gorge on? “Of course, I am a foodie and I continue to binge on good food. However, I am on a diet right now,” she adds. Her discipline extends to her social life too, as the actress stays clear of clubbing and pubbing. “I prefer a quiet evening with friends in a restaurant or at a friend’s house,” she reveals. She loves to spend time with her friends. “I have loads of friends in the industry and outside it,” she says.

Charmme claims to be close to coactors Anushka and Bhumika. “Besides them, all the top male stars are good friends of mine,” she laughs.

After bagging the Andhra state award for Manthra last year, is she looking to grab another award this year? “No. I think Anushka will sweep the awards this season and I told her so,” she says matter-of-factly.

Charmy, the sexy girl of Tollywood, is returning to Kollywood with Laadam which was released on Friday.

Though she had started her career in Tamil with Simbu's Kadhal Azhivathillai, she has been doing mainly Telugu films and has featured with most of the top heroes.

After four long years, she is making a comeback in Tamil films with Laadam, under Prabhu Solomon's direction.

Says Charmi, "I'm doing a Tamil film after a long time. The role has been tailor-made for me. I play the role of Angel, a positive and lively character who is a chatterbox. She is the central character around whom the movie revolves. The character is close to my heart.

Laadam has also been dubbed in Telugu as 16 Days.

The director has now come up with a film that deals with an youngster’s visit to Chennai for a job and twists-turns happening over for the next 16 days… Debutant Aravind dons the lead role while Charmi stars him opposite in the female lead. Prabhu Solomon himself dons a prominent role while Kota Srinivasa Rao is the baddie here.

Dharan has scored music for the film and the Telugu version has been titled as ‘16 Days’. Though produced by Cosmos Entertainments, Radhika Sarathkumar under the banner of Radaan Media Networks Limited releases the film. Solar Films has taken the city rights for the film and Sony BMG bags audio rights….

This would be Ajay’s first film as a hero.Charmy has been very magnanimous with experimenting with her career. Unlike many heroines, who insist on doing only big budget, or big hero films, Charmy has taken up the challenge of doing off-the-beaten-track films. Her strategy has also paid off with success of films like Mantra. She has also been doing small budget films where her contribution has been appreciated.

The upcoming film Kavya’s Diary is also a case in point. Charmy feels that she has a certain brand value and she can easily contribute that brand to smaller films to draw the initial crowds. Charmi bags a meaty role

Charmi has bagged a female-oriented role in a flick being produced by Rajasekhar under Frames Entertainment banner and directed by Pawan, who is debuting in Telugu film industry with this film. The film's muhurat was held recently at a specially-erected set in the Uppal area on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Rajasekhar is the producer of Yamagola Malli Modalaindhi.

Senior director-producer Sagar gave the clap, M.L.A. Santhosh Reddy switched on the camera and Telugu Film Producers' Council President Tammareddy Bharadwaja directed the muhurat shot picturised on Charmi and Kota Srinivasa Rao.

Producer Rajasekhar said, "The film's story will be the real hero and the script will revolve around Charmi. The audience will find all elements of entertainment. I have no doubt that this film will be a bigger hit than Yamagola Malli Modalaindhi. The regular shoot will start from December 12th and is expected to wrap up by March-end to be released for the summer vacation."

Director Pawan said, "I have thoroughly planned the script, screenplay and direction for this film and I thank Charmi for accepting our project as soon as she heard the story."
