Finally the biggest event of this year arrives as the South Indian film celebrities are curiously looking for the big day to bag their honors. Yeah! It’s all about the 57th South Filmfare Awards scheduled to be hosted on August 7. Actress Tamanna was invited to inaugurate the press conference of marking the event.

The nominees for the best actor of Tamil Cinema 2009 are Surya (Ayan), Arya (Naan Kadavul), Prakash Raj (Kanchivaram), Jayam Ravi (Peranmai) and Kamal Hassan (Unnai Pol Oruvan) while the best actress nominees are Tamanna (Kanden Kadhalai), Sneha (Achamundu Achamundu), Pooja (Naan Kadavul), Padmapriya (Pokkisham) and Shreya Reddy (Kanjeevaram).

Meanwhile cherubic Tamanna, who was invited for the press conference of Filmfare Awards, was glad for having nominated for the best actress category in both Tamil and Telugu (Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam) films. Having worked with almost all the young superstars in South Indian film industry, Tamanna mentions that all her co-stars are best in their unique attributes. (OI)

Actor Aarya holds a special mention for having linked romantically with his co-stars. Earlier it was actress Pooja, who paired up with in more than 4 films and then it was actress Nila. Of course, Aarya had strongly admitted that they’re all his close friends and there’s no room for other affairs.

And Arya also doing a Telugu flick. The film, which features Allu Arjun, as the hero, will cast Aarya in a different role as a villain.

But now, we got to hear that Aarya’s parents have been finalized a marriage proposal with Hyderabad based tycoon’s daughter. With the entire town buzzed with such calls on airs, Aarya clears them up saying that it’s a rumor and he has no plans about marrying now.

Actor Aarya denied this news and said that he has to achieve a lot more in the tinsel town and he will tell to all before going to marry.

Actress Pooja who made the audiences moved with her impeccable acting as a blind girl in the movie “Naan Kadavul” has given a detailed explanation for her bulky phone calls to Actor Arya.

First she cleared the air that she was just in a good friend of Arya and was not in love with him. She also gave an explanation that she calls him daily to known about his wear about and just enquires it on a casual note.

It is reported that she has invested in one of the real estate ventures of actor Arya and so is in touch with him on every alternate day. She expressed surprise that the media is behind her phone calls list and so has disclosed this as a fact in order to shut down the rumors that she was in love with him and so was contacting him to accept her love.

We’re sure none could have missed the most happening show on Vijay TV for Valentine’s Day. Indeed, the much appealing promos of Aarya lifting Pooja on his shoulders had grabbed everyone’s expectations. Both the celebrities appeared as special guests for ‘Koffee with Anu’ Valentine’s special.

There were some of the interesting sequences that could get us all entertained.

As soon as Pooja entered the studios, Aarya lifted her up on his shoulders…

One surprising factor was that Pooja openly agreed that she’s black in complexion and that helped her most while enacting the role of blind beggar in ‘Naan Kadavul’. Also she mentioned that for the first time, she was sent to beg inside a bus depot, Pooja got a collection of Rs.45 within couple of minutes. Also she was offered cool drinks by an old lady as well served a food.

When asked Aarya with who does he shares best on-screen chemistry? He answered, ‘I have no options other than Pooja as I have paired up with her for half of my films’.

Fine! What Pooja never likes about Aarya is that he has lots of girl friends (Did she mention Nila???) and requested it would be nice if he cuts down the list. Or else that would create problem within his family in future.

Qualities that Pooja loves to see in her future husband… ‘He must love pets… Doesn’t worry Aarya hate animals and in no way I would marry him’ added Pooja jocularly.

On Thursday, Rajnikanth invited Pooja through his manager Nikil Murugan to his house… The actress was much excited on this special moment. Rajnikanth said that he was astounded watching her versatile performance. Actress Pooja presented him with a shawl that her father offered her to gift it to the person she respects most.

In turn, Rajnikanth honored her with a shawl and a portrait of Swami Raghavendra… both of them were chatting for a very long time and superstar was anxiously asking her about forthcoming projects…

The two of them had acted together in a couple of films and there was hot gossip that they were a twosome. In an interview, Pooja even said, "Arya is a close friend and now he's a family friend too. We visit each other and I'm happy to have a nice friend like him."

This establishes them as good friends, but her entry into 'NaanKadavul,' it's said is on there commendation by Arya. So the rumours started again. Is this true or not? The media gets their answer from Pooja.

"There's a rumour here that I'm in love with a young Sinhalese and we are to marry. In Ceylon, there's a rumour that I'm in love with a person from Tamilnadu and we are to marry. All this is untrue.I'm not in love with anyone. I'm not thinking of marriage though my father has started to talk about it now. Naan Kadavul to be censored on Dec 30

The much awaited film ‘Naan Kadavul’ has completed its shooting and buzzes are that it would be hitting screens for the occasion of Pongal. Sources close to the unit have revealed that the film would be censored on December 30. The film is about an arrogant father who sends his son out of the house due to superficial malevolent acts. The abandoned son (Aarya) grows up in the midst of Saadhus and Sanyasis.

Turning one amongst them with long hairs and gory looks he has forgotten everything about world. Meanwhile his father realizing that he had committed blunders goes in search of him now. Getting to see his son in such a state, he is so shocked and decides taking him back. Rest of the story is about the estranged son getting back to Tamil Nadu and series of events that happens in Varanasi after he leaves the place.

Ilayaraja who has scored music for the film was quite impressed with stupendous making. Producers have planned to release the film simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Buzzes are that either Sun Pictures or Pyramid Saimira would be releasing the film…

Naan Kadavul, the film that was in the making for a very long time, will finally be released for Pongal 2009. The film’s audio release is scheduled for this month end. Yesterday the crew shot a last bit of the film at the AVM Studios in Chennai which had Bharathi, Ranjani and Azhagan Thamizh Mani.

Bharathi (not to be confused with Ammuvaghiya Naan star) plays the role of Arya's mother while Azhagan Thamizh Mani is Arya's dad and Ranjani happens to be his sister. The scene was that of a small function for Ranjani on her attaining puberty. Bharathi happens to be in a melancholic mood because there are no kith and kin attending the function. When Ranjani questions her parents about the absence of her brother Arya, both the parents appear to be in a very pensive mood. This was the scene that was filmed and with this, the shooting of Naan Kadavul comes to an end. Bala's fans would be extremely delighted and would wait for this Pongal bonanza from the talented director.
