Poonam Bajwa, who has well marked her place in Tamil and telugu cinema industry, is excited about her upcoming Tamil film “Kutcheri Aarambham”. This movie has actor Jeeva in the lead and at the time of shooting, there was news that Poonam liked Jeeva and was in love with him.

But all ended up after she cleared the air that she is a best friend of Jeeva’s wife and so shares a good rapport with him as well. Poonam Bajwa has two more projects in the line up. One happens to be “ Drohi” opposite to actor Srikanth, which is being directed by Sudha K. Prasad. The other one happens to be “Thambikottai” which is opposite to actor Narrain.

Speaking to English news daily, Poonam disclosed that she will never venture out into bollywood, as she is not too ambitious. She claims that Tollywood and Kollywood are two best worlds to work in and so she has no desire to migrate to bollywood. But, Poonam has also disclosed that she was offered many bollywood projects as soon as she debuted in Tollywood. But she thinks that Hindi films are not her type of stuff to work with.

Poonam entered the film world in her teenage, after modeling for an agency in Pune, which happens to be her home town. (HC)

After playing a lady don characters in her earlier films ‘Uyir’ and ‘Pithamagan’, actress Sangeetha is once again creating waves with her forthcoming film ‘Thambikottai’.

Sources say that she is playing the character of ‘Beeda Pandiamma’ in the movie as a kind hearted don who is a terrible to the villain with lot of punch dialouges.

The movie is directed by Ammu Ramesh and produced by R K Suresh for Thambikottai Rajeswari Films. Director says that Sangeetha as Beeda Pandiamma, though an illeterate knows everything about Indian Law and will definetly great applauses from the audience.

“The first thing I look at in a guy, are his feet! Clean feet and toenails are a big turn on! Badly-maintained feet say that the guy is too shabby for my liking! It puts a big question on personal hygiene,” she explains, and adds, “I also look at the nape of the neck! I like neat, short hair styles on men!” Well, she’s got all her preferences set!

After having read such stories, the actor clarifies with his statement over clearing it off as a rumor. Says Jeeva: ‘Earlier, I had discussed about this about not getting interfered in recommending any heroines. Poonam Bajwa made her debut as heroine in the film Thennavattu. She paired with Jeeva. Poonam is now once again pairing with Jeeva in the film titled Kutcheri Arambam. In a short interview to the media she answered the following questions.

What are the films you are acting?

I am acting in Kutcheri Arambam. The role is a jolly good one. I am also acting in a film titled Drohi directed by Saha. They have told me not to discuss about the story and the role. In Thambi Kottai I am pairing with Narain. Ammu Ramesh is directing this film. This film has a village back ground. I have transformed into a Tamil girl wearing half saree.

Has bikini dress become the order of the day?

Sneha and Asin have not worn bikini dresses. I also want to earn a good name like them. A film cannot succeed only by glamour alone. Family subjects have also been hits. Lot of pragmatic films have been hits these days.

Poonam Bajwa who is well known for a gleamy face and luscious figure has cleared the air that she is not going to follow the present fashion of donning a bikini.

Speaking to a media representative of a magazine, Poonam disclosed that she is just comfortable doing scenes which show her cleavage and thighs and is not comfortable doing any more than that. She also cleared the air that she is getting offers of a second heroine which demand a lot of skin show. But she wants to just stay in her limits and does not want her parents to get embarrassed.

Poonam has acted in Seval and Thenevattu in Tamil and is looking forward for more projects. The young beauty has disclosed that she may do a cameo role in actor Vijay’s Vettaikaran if all goes accordingly as planned.” Kachceri” is the next movie which will show Poonam in a full female lead role.

Why does he has a special affection over this female is the top question being discussed in Kollywood.

Even though Poonam never hide anything for Telugu films, she prefers to hide all for Kollywood films all these days.

She starred with Jeeva in the movie Thenavettu closing her curves, but the next movie of Jeeva which will have Poonam, will have Poonam opening up for Kollywood too!

Poonam Bajwa who made her screen debut in the recently released Sun Pictures Thenavattu with Jeeva is quite satisfied with the performance of the film. This young girl from Pune has already acted in a couple of Telugu and Kannada films but feels that only Thenavattu had given her the status of an actress.

While talking to a section of the media, Poonam Bajwa said, “Though I belong to Pune, I am more interested to act in south Indian films, especially Tamil films. I know that Tamil films are hero centric but I would like to act with all heroes. All the same, I would like to give importance to roles which would give me immense scope for performance.”

To a poser on whether she would act glamorously Poonam gave a clichéd reply, “I am not here to comment on heroines who act glamorously. But at the same time I will not act in a vulgar manner in the guise of glamour. I would like to follow Asin in this as she treads the line of glamour in the right way. She is my role model.”
