Tapasee bags a role in Jeeva's next

Doubtlessly, Jeeva has been the busiest guy in town for the actor has been simultaneously shooting for various projects at the same time. With his previous film Katcheri Arambam turning to be a top-drawer at the box office, the actor has completed shooting major portions of the film Singam Puli, in which he plays dual roles. The actor is also occupied with K.V. Anand’s KO that has Ajmal and actress Radha’s daughter Karthika along with the Goa famed Piaa Bajpai in lead roles. His other film Roudram has completed its first schedule and he will start his next project Vandhan Vendran by the first week of August.

Filmmaker Kannan, who shot to fame with his continuous successes Jayam Kondan and Kanden Kadhalai (remake of Bollywood blockbuster Jab We Met), is wielding the megaphone for this film. For the past couple of months, Kannan has been busy in the pursuit of an actress to perform the female lead character. First it was mentioned that Nayantara will be signing the project and now newcomer Tapasee has bagged the offer.

Previously, Tapasee had replaced Trisha in the Dhanush starrer Aadukalam and now Nayantara. Touted to be a crime-thriller, the entire film will be shot in Mumbai with Vasan Visual Venture producing it. (OI)

Poonam Bajwa, who has well marked her place in Tamil and telugu cinema industry, is excited about her upcoming Tamil film “Kutcheri Aarambham”. This movie has actor Jeeva in the lead and at the time of shooting, there was news that Poonam liked Jeeva and was in love with him.

But all ended up after she cleared the air that she is a best friend of Jeeva’s wife and so shares a good rapport with him as well. Poonam Bajwa has two more projects in the line up. One happens to be “ Drohi” opposite to actor Srikanth, which is being directed by Sudha K. Prasad. The other one happens to be “Thambikottai” which is opposite to actor Narrain.

Speaking to English news daily, Poonam disclosed that she will never venture out into bollywood, as she is not too ambitious. She claims that Tollywood and Kollywood are two best worlds to work in and so she has no desire to migrate to bollywood. But, Poonam has also disclosed that she was offered many bollywood projects as soon as she debuted in Tollywood. But she thinks that Hindi films are not her type of stuff to work with.

Poonam entered the film world in her teenage, after modeling for an agency in Pune, which happens to be her home town. (HC)

What are the films you are acting?

I am acting in Kutcheri Arambam. The role is a jolly good one. I am also acting in a film titled Drohi directed by Saha. They have told me not to discuss about the story and the role. In Thambi Kottai I am pairing with Narain. Ammu Ramesh is directing this film. This film has a village back ground. I have transformed into a Tamil girl wearing half saree.

Sneha and Asin have not worn bikini dresses. I also want to earn a good name like them. A film cannot succeed only by glamour alone. Family subjects have also been hits. Lot of pragmatic films have been hits these days.

On the buttons, Ramya who later rechristened herself as Divya Spandana has got more projects in hands. As she won laurels for her good show in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, she has almost completed shooting for ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’ and has signed for Jeeva’s ‘Singam Puli’.

‘You may come with a smart question why then I acted in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ though it was a double-heroine subject? Although, it was off that sort, my characterization had more prominence during latter half. I am not so aged to enact mother’s roles. Herein ‘Singam Puli’, I am offered to perform the role of Cell Phone salesperson.”

After a long sabbatical gap, RB Choudary is back in action for producing his son Jeeva’s film titled ‘Kaccheri’. The producer had taken a small break and fled to Tollywood for producing some flicks. He’s back to the pavilion now to produce Jeeva’s film that was supposed to be produced by some other banner. Due to small constraints, the production work has now moved onto the hands of Choudary. Thiraivaanan handles story, screenplay, dialogues and direction while D. Imman scores music.

Shooting for the film started rolling recently herein Chenna and the following schedules would be held simultaneously in Chennai, Kumbakonam, Ooty and Australia. Poonam Bajwa who earlier paired up with Jeeva in ‘Thennavattu’ picks on the female lead role and Vadivelu will be adding to the humor quotients.

Yup! The actor has jumped up high all the way with good success of ‘Thennavattu’ and ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’. Much excitedly, he’s gearing up for yet another commercial movie titled ‘Singam Puli’. Divya Spandana of Vaaranam Aayiram stars him opposite in female lead role… Directed by Sai ramani, the film is set to be a pakka commercial entertainer with more focus to be pulled towards B and C centres.

Abundantly, there would lots of fights, romance, comedy, glamour and Kuthu songs… Though nothing has been revealed about the storyline, it’s so evident that when Lion and Tiger are together, it’s gonna be a blast of unexpected twists and turns.

Why does he has a special affection over this female is the top question being discussed in Kollywood.

Even though Poonam never hide anything for Telugu films, she prefers to hide all for Kollywood films all these days.

She starred with Jeeva in the movie Thenavettu closing her curves, but the next movie of Jeeva which will have Poonam, will have Poonam opening up for Kollywood too!

The issue is that these morale less females open their curves which for sure not going to entertain any movie watchers and is only going to burn the producer's pocket (example Nayanthara in Sathyam) and if the movie fails there will be no takers for the producers, while the man who recommended the female and the female who opened up everthing for public are going to fill their bank accounts!
