Actress Divya Spandana aka Ramya is all set to start a live in relationship with her Portugal boyfriend Raphael. The actress has confirmed the reports that she is in love with Raphael, who was known as Roberto as well.

According to Divya Spandana, Raphael received several spam messages and so he renamed his profile as Roberto, to cheat the spammers. So, the Indian media started to report that Divya was dating Roberto.

But Divya Spandana has clarified that her boyfriends name is Raphael and his parents are from Germany and Switzerland. Ramya and Raphael met at a New Year party and then started to date each other, from the past 8 months.

Divya has clarified that she will get married only after 2 years from now on and considers that ‘live in relationship’ is not a bad idea for her. [HC]

It is reported that, both the stars faced similar problem from two unknown persons. Ramya was facing this problem for the third time and Nidhi for the first time.

A guy hose name has been withheld was constant posting messages about Nidhi on a micro blogging website and used to pose as the actress on the website. When the matter went out of control, Nidhi complained the same to the cyber crime patrol, who traced the culprit within 2 days. Ramya was used to this stuff earlier and instead took the matter to the notice of her close friends. ‘You may come with a smart question why then I acted in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ though it was a double-heroine subject? Although, it was off that sort, my characterization had more prominence during latter half. I am not so aged to enact mother’s roles. The mass song which is in Villu was offered to Divya initially, but she denied doing the song as she wanted to settled down in full fledged roles. Presently, she is working in the movie titled “Kadhal to Kalyanam” which is directed by Milind Rao who worked as an assistant to Mani ratnam.

Earlier, ‘Kuthu’ Ramya and now rechristened as ‘Divya Spandana’ has been bringing fortunate offers to the actress. Pairing up with Surya in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the actress won laurels for an exceptional role and now she is busy shooting for ‘Kadhal2Kalyanam’ – a genre based on romance-comedy. Says Divya, ‘I am an ardent fan of Vijay, but shaking legs for a song would reduce me to the terms of ‘Item Number dancer. Donning a prominent role in Vaaranam Aayiram fetched me good credits and again I must not spoil it’.

Kadhal2Kalyanam is about corporate based youngsters of different family backgrounds. When they fall in love and have to marry, the two families happen to mingle and then begin the humorous ride. Actress Jayashree makes her comeback after a long time. The film has Aarya’s brother Sathya in lead role while Mouli plays an important character. Apart from this, she is occupied with couple of Kannada projects at the moment.

She tries hard to show in every film she does that she has acting talent ,but people prefer to remember her glamour image. This has been giving her sleepless nights, so Ramya alias Divya has a request.

"I have surmounted many difficulties in my life. I'm receiving many offers to do ads. I'm being selective with what I choose. More than my attracting attention, I want the films I do to attract attention. I'm not going to answer any implied questions. If I express an opinion, they blow it up in the press.

Without listening to the stories, I accepted some films because of friendship and respect. They did not do well. People speak about it, but why do they not speak about my hit films of 2008? After the success of 'Polladhavan,' I have worked hard for 2 years for 'VaaranamAyiram.' That some scenes have been cut is obvious but I've still made a good name and I'm satisfied. 'Some actresses get crores as fees, would you raise your fee too?' is what they ask me. I take whatever is due to me.That is more than enough for me," says Divya.
