Kamal to re-launch Shruti Haasan

Kamal to re-launch Shruti Haasan

August 20, 2010

First it was mom Sarika whose good friends were used to launch daughter Shruti Haasan's career in Hindi cinema. Now, apparently dad Kamal Hassan has taken over the responsibility to put his daughter's career on the right track in Bollywood.

Her first attempt at stardom in "Luck" was a big fiasco. So now "Ghajini" director A.R. Murugadoss has been asked to create an impressive re-launch film for the pretty actress.

Murugadoss admits that his multilingual film "Ezham Arivu" ("The Seventh Sense") is planned as a re-launch for Shruti in Bollywood.

"It is a medical thriller with some of the most costly special effects ever done in southern cinema. We want to take the sci-fi to a new level in the South. Shruti has a very powerful role and yes, we're hoping it would launch her career in Hindi cinema," said Murugadoss.

The story goes that Murugadoss had gone to Kamal Haasan to collaborate on a project. Instead Kamal suggested that he work with Shruti whose experience in Mumbai was far from satisfying.

That's how Murugadoss ended up signing Shruti opposite Suriya in the Tamil "Ezham Arivu" ("The Seventh Sense"). Originally the film was meant to be in Tamil and Telugu. But now a Hindi version is also being made. It will be made in Tamil Nadu. (GUL)

Rockline praises Nayantara to heavens

Rockline praises Nayantara to heavens

August 20, 2010

The renowned producer of Kannada cinema, Dheera Rockline Venkatesh had high praises for actress Nayantara. He said that several heroines have worked in his films, but none are as awesome as her. The unfussiness and adjusting attitude of Nayantara has also been praised by others in the industry, according to Rockline Venkatesh.

A certain incident took place in London during the shooting of Upendra's Super that was really bothering Nayantara. She didn’t stop the day’s shoot. Instead she cooperated and extended help. However, she explained the problem after the day’s shooting. Rockline seemed impressed by this charm and attitude of the heroine.

In London, Nayantara never stayed in top star hotels and was okay with an ordinary accommodation. She never made any fuss about the whole deal.

Ever during the slum shooting, Nayantara didn’t go back after her own shot was done. She stayed back and watched the entire shooting of the movie. This shows that she’s truly an actress and not some heroine out to show attitude and work just for cold hard cash.

In addition to these attributes, Nayantara took her final payment only after 80 days of complete shooting. She already has set an example of how a true hardworking actress should be like. (OI)

Apparently, the buzz is that Kamalini is all set to settle down in her life as her marriage is likely to take place with the son of the producer A M Ratnam. However, it is now being heard that Ratnam’s family is not too keen on it. The reason for that are the gestures of Kamalini.

Apparently, Kamalini has got the habit of hugging strangers in north Indian style and she has been doing it with all heroes in public events. That too, she hugs men with all passion touching every part of her front side tight to their front. She hugs and holds the man for 10 seconds, is another observation. It seems all this is not going down well with the Ratnam family so they are contemplating on giving the marriage a complete clearance. Let us hope all hiccups get cleared soon. (GA)

Arun Pandian lashes out Ajith’s ‘Aegan’ and Vijay’s ‘Villu’

Arun Pandian lashes out Ajith’s ‘Aegan’ and Vijay’s ‘Villu’

May 5, 2009

More appalling for those who had gathered for the audio launch of ‘Angaadi Theru’ that happened yesterday in grandeur. Arun Pandian, Managing Director of Ayngaran International made it all with his blowing speech. ‘So far, we have produced 7 films. But ‘Angaadi Theru’ is the first qualitative Tamil film in our career’ added Arun Pandian who accepted that the production house’s previous film was more commercial and copied from Hollywood style of filmmaking. Be it ‘Villu’ or ‘Aegan’, the technical aspects were brilliant and yet weren’t convincingly perfect either for the audiences or producers themselves.

“We aren’t much concerned about fetching more profits into our pockets, but bring out some good movies in Tamil film industry” Added Arun Pandian.

Director Sasi Kumar appreciated Ayangaran International for their brilliant effort. Certainly, their other 5 films ready for release are based on director’s style. Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Sarvam’, Mysskin’s ‘Nandhalala’, Jananathan’s ‘Peraanmai’, Thankar Bacchan’s ‘Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal’, Vasantha Balan’s ‘Angaadi Theru’ and more are there already on the floors.
