Lakshmi Rai is Lawrence’s heroine not Anushka

Choreographer, actor cum director Raghava Lawrence, after playing a lead role in ‘IKMS’ has started his second directorial film which is being made both in Tamil and Telugu.

It is titled as ‘Kanchana’ and is sequel to his earlier film ‘Muni’. From long time there is a buzz that Anushka plays the lead heroine opposite Lawrence. But now, the latest news is that tall beauty Lakshmi Rai plays the lead heroine opposite Lawrence while Anushka plays the key role. A new villain Satheesh is being introduced in this film.

At present, the film is progressing at brisk pace at Sneha Bungalow on ECR. The action sequences are being shot that is choreographed by Super Subbarayan. [WaY]

Actress Sandhya hasn’t been doing well in the past. Except her debut flick ‘Kadhal’, none of her other films won her praises. Recently, the actress was indeed romantically linked with Bhagyaraj’s son Shanthanu. As of now, the actress is busy shooting for Chimbu Devan’s ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’ starring Raghava Lawrence and Lakshmi Rai in lead roles. Sandhya does the role of a forest tribal and feels that it would be a great turning point in her life.

When asked whether she would be interesting in appearing with swimsuits, the actress doesn’t want to accept such offers as it plays a spoiler to our Tamil culture. Says Sandhya: ‘Our Tamil heroines are very much haunted with swimsuit and bikini mania and it’s completely unapt for our Tamil culture…’
